Recently, the 5.5 billion m3 coal-based gas demonstration project of Kingho Group was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. It was learned by the journalist from Xinjiang Development and Reform Commission that the approval of this project means the initiation of the first coal based gas project approved by the State in Xinjiang.
It is known that the construction scale totals 5.5 billion m3 and phase I shares 1.35 billion m3; annual coal consumption is 20,529,200t and annual water consumption is 38,592,000 m3; the project site is located in Yidong Industry Park, Yining County and the total investment of the project is RMB 26.438 billion. The sales revenue of RMB 12 billion will be created and tax of nearly RMB 2 billion be paid upon the completion of the whole project.
The officials in Xinjiang Development and Reform Commission said that, this project was of great significance in construction demonstration and it would be helpful to improve the demonstration standards of Xinjiang coal based gas technology, further increase the level of demonstration and promote the transformation of economic advantages for advantageous Xinjiang coal resources projects. Relevant departments in Xinjiang would continue to provide guidance services, urge Xinjiang Kingho Group to quicken the speed of project construction and to strive to produce the first cubic meter of coal-based gas in the year (From Wu Yuanyuan).
